1028

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has introduced a new two step verification process starting with iOS9 to help users recover their lost Apple accounts. The users can update to the beta version of iOS9 to reactivate their lost accounts. You can recover your lost account even after a year. The company will introduce an official version by the end of this year.

Till now, the users have made futile attempts to recover their lost accounts calling the Apple support team and friends at the company. The new iOS 9 rollout with the two-step authentication brings hopes to reactivate the lost accounts.

If the users’ accounts are locked out because of unsuspicious activity by someone, the accounts could be recovered with the help of a trusted device and a recovery key or password. If you are lucky, you could find a key in your computer. Apple has introduced the new option for unlucky ones, who have lost their recovery key or password.

The two-step verification method prevents unauthorized access to your account and safeguards your details like documents, photos and other important information that you have stored on Apple. The 2 step authentication is to protect your account if someone has obtained your password through fraudulent means.

How does it work?

You need to tell the verified phone number to get the SMS. The executives at Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will reach you with the recovery information to unlock your account. You need to carefully complete the important steps at iforgot.apple.com following an automated message to recover the lost account.

The account recovery process may take few days and may even take longer to verify the genuineness and prove that you are the real owner of the account. All this process is to prevent unauthorized access and protects the details of the real account holder. It safeguards your details if someone has stolen your device. Thieves will not be able to break into your account through dubious means.

How to Setup Two-Step Verification?

You need to login into the account using Apple ID and choose the password and security option. Provide answers to the security questions and carefully follow the instructions on the screen.
