Drew Houston has moved ahead to disclose that dream of him owning his own company started way back when he was of a tender age. He is quite pleased that his dream came true finally. At the age of 35 years he is the Co-Founder and CEO of Dropbox Inc. (NASDAQ:DBX) which is worth $12 billion and he is optimistic of an even brighter future.
It was a short while back when the popular digital file-cabinet company took to selling a significant chunk of its shares to the public. Quite much has been happening lately, and another important step was the success it witnessed after it managed to get itself listed on the Nasdaq (DBX) and along the same line of thought it is important to outline that the personal net worth of Houston scaled quite high-at billions.
It was way back in 2007 that Houston took to launching Dropbox with Arash Ferdowsi who used to be his MIT classmate. At that moment, the two were in their early 20’s and they understood quite minimal about business implying that running a company was a matter that was way far beyond them.
One outstanding attribute regarding Houston is the fact that since his childhood to where he is at the moment he has always remained to be an avid reader. All along he has had a special interest in the business books and that has taught him quite much about managing a company.
The CEO of and one of Silicon Valley’s iconic entrepreneurs Andy Grove has several books to his name and he writes a lot of important tips regarding the management of a company. Houston admires his perspective of life and is a huge fan of his books.
It was sometime back during an interview conducted by several news reporters that he was asked to explain more regarding his special relationship with the books of Grove. He said that he admired the top executive a huge deal in terms of the great and progressive things that he did and was hoping to continue learning much more of his knowledge. He hopes to succeed in his quest to expand Dropbox.
