Freeze Tag, Inc. (OTCMKTS:FRZT) reported ZeeTours, an advanced location-based game that combines learning, fun and fitness into a remarkable experience, will be provided through Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN). Rob Vardeman, the President of Freeze Tag, expressed that their new ZeeTours offering is a top-in-class city scavenger hunt. He has personally experienced numerous ZeeTours in cities he is familiar with, and he saw new sights, learned new things, and got in his steps at the same time.
The details
Showcasing self-guided scavenger hunts, the ZeeTours app, which would be offered by Groupon, guides players around notable points of interest within a town location on a circular course. Players are provided “challenges” to complete as they look for the next site. These challenges may be dependent on players’ real-time GPS location, some type of photo-based plan or a quiz.
Players are prompted to be creative and share pictures of themselves posing in interesting or amusing situations near town landmarks. Points of interest on the respective game may be of historical significance suggested by a marker, commercial/public places of note such as public buildings, parks, or museums, and it can also be artwork such as a sculpture. ZeeTours players will discover, exercise and explore their way through towns across the USA.
Coming in Q4 2017, the ZeeTours will be offered in over 16 cities including renowned tourist destinations like San Diego, Dallas, New York City, Atlanta, Kansas City and Anaheim. More cities will be included frequently over the imminent months.
To kick off the release of ZeeTours, Freeze Tag has associated with Groupon to commercialize the ZeeTours packages. The game’s discount voucher will be available through the Groupon mobile app as well as web site.
In the last trading session, the stock price of Groupon declined more than 4% to close the day at $5.37. The decline came at a share volume of 11.55 million compared to average share volume of 8.92 million.
