This tour runs right through August and it features many local dermatologists that are coming out into the local community to now provide free, and full-body and potentially life-saving skin-cancer screenings to the general public. The company is very proud   being the presenting sponsor of – Road to Healthy Skin Tour & bring this very valuable screening to communities they serve.

This Tour’s customized 38ft recreational vehicle is gearing-up to head right across the nation recruiting many local volunteer dermatologists to provide the full-body screenings from comfort & privacy of one of the 2 exam rooms in the RV. As The Skin-Cancer Foundation’s flagship very early detection program, this Tour also aims to now raise the awareness about skin cancer & educate about importance of prevention & early detection.

Common cancer

Skin cancer is the most-common type of cancer in the U.S. This Tour strives to also save lives by detecting the skin cancers early on & aims at educating the public about the prevention of skin cancer prevention said Perry Robins, MD, the President of the Skin Cancer Foundation. He said that they appreciate Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE:RAD)’s continued partnership, that enables them to bring particular life-saving program to numerous cities right across the country for the 7th consecutive year.

High potential initiative

Since 2008, this Road to Healthy Skin Tour has also detected over 7,000 suspected cancers & precancers, and this includes over 300 cases of melanoma. Over the 7 years, this Tour has traveled across 100,000 miles, and winding its way through the U.S on the mission to provide very easy access to the 10-minute screenings which has the potential to save lives.
