It has invested more than $ 6 billion to implement its Project Velocity IP (VIP), a plan to expand and enhance its wireless and wireline IP broadband networks. With the company focusing rigorously to drive Project Velocity IP (VIP) for providing enhanced customer experience, many job positions has been created as a result of this drive. The company is scouting for eligible candidates for nearly 450 positions out which 200 are new openings. During 2013, the company hired nearly 3000 people in Florida. The company has around 243360 employees and it hires new talents regularly.

AT&T Inc.(NYSE:T) Student Mentoring Program

The company is known for training and development programs and they are considered best in the country. The company has invested around $ 280 million in employee training program and around $26.6 million in education support. And as part of the education support, AT&T is planning to contribute around $116k toward carrier mentoring program for school students in Europe. Employees of the company will help in this program and also assist the trainees in job shadowing. This initiative follows successful implementation of AT&T pilot programs for school students in the UK and France. And these initiatives will continue in UK and Europe.
