CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. (NYSE:CBL) will start the first phase of the construction work at previously purchased Brookfield Square in Milwaukee, Wisconsin based Sears Building in April 2018. The redevelopment efforts include entertainment and dining options. The renovation efforts will deliver BistroPlex, and WhirlyBall to provide entertainment as well as dining options at the same place for the customers.
The company is also readying the plans for the subsequent phases of the project to support the non retail use and for new dining options. Brookfield Square will become a major hub for entertainment and dining in the Milwaukee market with the addition of BistroPlex and WhirlyBall.
Chief Executive Officer and President, Mr. Stephen Lebovitz of CBL & Associates Properties said a lot of users have shown interest to become part of this project since take over of the Sears building previous year. The company is pleased to start the construction and the addition of the entertainment avenues BistroPlex and WhirlyBall.
WhirlyBall features seasonal cocktails, rotating craft bar, and chef inspired menu to provide a premium social experience for the guests. The WhirlyBall game is open to all skill levels. Two teams each of five members will engage in playing a combination of bumper cars and lacrosse.
The Brookfield Square restaurant/ entertainment features eight bowling lanes, two WhirlyBall courts, the multi-level LaserTag arena, and a four lane VIP Bowling Suite. It also provides semi private and private event spaces, a full service restaurant/ bar and an outdoor patio.
Vice President (Strategic Planning) of WhirlyBall, Mr. Adam Elias said the company is very happy to join the community of Milwaukee along with BistroPlex. He further said the redevelopment of Brookfield Square is a great opportunity. The redevelopment offers a new experience to the visitors and locals as well.
