Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) announced the launch of new intent-based networking solutions to help customers more productive, flexible, and secure, and cut their network maintenance times. The technology company is implementing network improvements to help organizations facing growing pressure to deliver positive and consistent digital experience.
The improvements will be focused on providing IT and business insights and simplifying automation. They will enable IT teams to be more agile while at the same time, staying closely aligned with business objectives. This arrangement is especially important in today’s dynamic business environment.
Cisco announced its live digital event and covers the company’s software-defined wide-area network platform. The platform will be integrated with Cisco Umbrella, the company’s cloud-native security service, which offers security beyond network to remote users, devices, and distributed locations.
Cisco SD-WAN Innovations
The company is introducing the Cisco SD-WAN Innovations, which is powered by Viptela and will integrate with Cisco Umbrella to offer complete cloud-native security and will protect businesses against major web attacks arising from the internet access and Saas. Cisco Umbrella offers DNS-layer security, secure web gateway (SWG), cloud access security broker (CASB) functionality, and firewall in a single integrated cloud service. With simplified licensing and automated provisioning, Cisco SD-WAN working together with Cisco Umbrella are fast to install and easy to use while offering the best security protection and refined user experience. Both networking and security are important steps for users who wish to have a SASE architecture.
Cisco User-Defined Networks
IT staff can use Cisco User-Defined Networks to offer end-user control of their own wireless networks. This is made possible through the use of Cisco DNA Center. It offers end-users the ability to onboard their devices securely and control devices connected to their personal networks through the User Defined Network mobile app.
Network segmentation involves dividing the network into smaller segments to boost security and performance. It is crucial for deployment of “internet of things.” Cisco plans to unveil the new AI Endpoint Analytics service this summer and will be accessed through the Cisco DNA Center dashboard.
