Entegris Inc (NASDAQ:ENTG) and SEMATECH, Inc. yesterday announced their partnership for next-generation wafers and devices through development of nano-scale particle removal processes and cleaning technologies. Under this partnership the company will work with the experts of Nanodefect Center, SEMATECH towards development of newer technologies and early solutions to reduce nano-scale contamination encountered during wafer processing.
SEMATECH, Inc. is the not-for-profit research consortium facilitating advances in chip manufacturing processes, providing custom wafer processing services and publishing technical reports for its members. SEMATECH’s Nanodefect Center has expertise in particle removal, surface cleaning and cleaning technology development and offers comprehensive metrology and analysis capabilities to investigate the issues encountered during the semiconductor processes such as CMP, lithography, deposition, and cleaning.
