The company provides various services like consulting, learning, network design & optimization and network roll out.
Last week the company acquired Canada based Telcocell Company who is specialized in Business Support Systems (BSS). This acquisition will help the company to complement its existing portfolio, and will strengthen the company’s BSS transformation capabilities specifically in North America and it will also strengthen company’s ability in the area of information and Communication technology.
Another acquisition by the company is EVDO business of Airvana Network Solutions. The deal is done as a stock purchase though other financial details were not disclosed. As the software enables data transmission in CDMA wireless networks this acquisition will be a strategic move for the company to strengthen its CDMA line of business, it will also support the vertical integration strategy of the company which will increase its product portfolio.
Company’s other acquisition is of Microsoft Corp’s Mediaroom business. With this acquisition the company became the leading provider of Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) and multi-screen solutions. ERIC plans to include Mediaroom which is located at Mountain View, CA into its Business Unit Support Solutions. Mediaroom will provide leading comprehensive platform for video distribution comprising the world’s largest IPTV operators. Its services are offered on various devices like, Wifi, set top boxes, personal computers, tablets and smartphones.
Another news for the company is that recently it has been awarded for video in Demand Dynamic Advertising Insertions from National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in Emmy awards.
