Dallas, Texas 11/15/2013 (Financialstrend) – On November 14, 2013, Federal National Mortgage Association (OTCBB:FNMA) announced that the BOD (Board of Directors) of the company has elected Ms. Diane C. Nordin to its Board. Ms. Diane C. Nordin who is a seasoned asset management executive is going to complement other members’ areas of expertise and will strengthen the Board’s governance of company as it is working in the direction of creating a more transparent, safer and sustainable housing finance system.
“Ms. Nordin brings to the Board a deep and broad understanding of the global markets and excellent fixed income investment experience,” said Philip A. Laskawy, Chairman of the Board. “Her experience coupled with her pragmatic approach will be valuable as we continue to strengthen the company and improve the housing finance system.”
Ms. Diane C. Nordin aged 55 years, was recently serving for a period of one year as a Fellow at the Advanced Leadership Initiative at Harvard University. Before, this she spent above 20 years at Wellington Management Company, LLP and there, she worked as a partner from 1995 to 2011. At Wellington, she has worked for many global leadership roles, most importantly as Vice Chair of the Compensation Committee, head of Fixed Income and Audit Chair of the Wellington Management Trust Company. Her earlier position at Wellington included Global Relationship Management and Director,Director and Fixed Income Product Management.
Ms. Diane C. Nordin got her degree in Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College, with a concentration in biology and in the Harvard Business School Leading Professional Service Firms program she was also a participant.
At present, Ms. Diane C. Nordin works as a Trustee of Wheaton College, and at Wheaton College she is a member of an Audit Committee and also a Chair of the investment Committee. At Vineyard Nursing Association of Martha’s Vineyard, she is also a Board member and at Appalachian Mountain Club she is a Director, while at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, she is a Foundation Board Member.
