Dallas, Texas 04/29/2014 (FINANCIALSTRENDS) – Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) announced today that they have introduced a voice based interactive mechanism in its Google Glass device which would allow users to launch the tour guide called “Field Trip” through voice commands. Since the device launch last year in august, users had to make do with tapping the frame of the wearable device to launch this app.
Crisp Voice Commands
With the latest voice command addition, users can just voice out “OK Glass, Explore Nearby,” to launch the app which would make the experience as seamless and intuitive as other voice based commands like “take a picture” or “get directions”.
The field trip app once launched through the voice command will show up a drop down list of nearby must see locations and attractions like restaurants, museums and various other categories that Google engineers have managed to build into the app.
The Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) engineers who have worked hard to evolve this app from a touch based device to a voice command operated device have gone on record to state that, “the capability to integrate apps such as Field Trip with voice commands has become available only recently.”
Aim Is To Map Even Remote Towns In The Country
The maker of this device is also working towards finding appropriate content which is specific to the local area on the web and incorporate it into the Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) glass device so that users can fully benefit from the complete features that are on offer in this revolutionary device. The Mountain View head quartered firm has been attempting to cover and collate data of as much geography as it is possible in context to time constraints so that it can offer information to users of even remote towns in the country rather than concentrate on just big cities.
