GoPro Inc (NASDAQ:GPRO) has announced the appointment of Eve Saltman as the Vice President Corporate/Business Development and General Counsel. The appointment became effective on March 39.
Eve will be in charge of the company’s legal affairs. Additionally, she will oversee the company’s business and corporate development matters and will also serve as the Corporate Secretary of the Company. She will be reporting to the company’s CEO and founder Nicholas Woodman.
While commenting on the new appointment, Woodman said it is pleasing to see the company’s own star performer return back to the family. He said Eve has proven to be leader in all the positions she has held as well as a pioneer of several of the company’s legal team’s successful working strategies. Woodman said the company is pleased to be able to benefit from her services once again.
Before moving out of GoPro in September 2017, Eve was serving as the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, and Assistant Corporate Secretary. In that capacity, she assisted the company in preparing for and go public in 2014. She, together with her team was in charge of a wide range of activities including intellectual property, compliance, corporate securities, product development, disputes, and human resource. In 2015, Eve won The Recorder/ALM In-House Impact Award in recognition of her legal product counseling leadership at the company. In 2016, she was nominated by the Silicon Valley Business Journal as a public company “Rising Star.”
Before joining GoPro, she served in several in-house positions at OnLive, LiveOps, Siebel Systems, Autodesk and Asana. Her career started at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. Eve attended Cornell University, where she graduated with a B.A. She also has a J.B from Georgetown Law School.
While acknowledging her appointment, Eve said that she counts the many years she worked at the company as some of the most rewarding in her professional career as well as personal experience. She added that she is happy to be back and join the company’s leadership team.
