Dallas, Texas 08/26/2013 (Financialstrend) – It is the great time for Yahoo! Inc (NASDAQ:YHOO) as the websites owned by the company have topped those of Google Inc in terms of total traffic for the first time since the month of May during the year 2011. The total visitors of the properties of Yahoo! Inc have been recorded as 196.6 million during the month of July. This number is 20% higher on a year over year basis and is 4.3 million higher than that of Google Inc.

Per the data, the websites of Yahoo! Inc were visited by 87.2% of 225 million users of internet during the month of July. Out of these numbers, Yahoo! Inc had 196.6 million unique type visitors followed by Google with 192.3 million unique type visitors then by Microsoft with 179.6 million unique visitors, Facebook with 142.3 million visitors and AOL Inc with 117.4 million visitors.

This achievement by Yahoo! Inc could be able to bring the company with the higher rates of advertisements and hence more revenue for the company is expected. It is not that this is the mean task for Meyer, who took Yahoo! Inc’s helm during the month of July in the year 2012. Another important and most special thing to be noted about this achievement is that the data about the number of visitors to the Yahoo! Inc websites did not include the traffic of Tumblr which was the biggest acquisition of Yahoo during this year.

Tumblr of Yahoo! Inc had a total number of around 38.4 million visitors during the month of July. It is noteworthy that the acquisition of Tumblr was Meyer’s bet for bringing the young age users and a better palette. It was said that if Yahoo! Inc included Tumblr, then the number of visitors to websites were expected to be 235.05 million in July month in contrast with 225 million unique visitors per the survey.
