Starbucks customers who don’t like gluten in their diet, as well as health conscious ones, now have gluten free and vegan food options. Part of the new addition to the menu includes ‘Starbucks’ gluten free smoked Canadian Bacon Breakfast Sandwich’, which customers can have without having to worry about the health consequences.
The Tenhnomic Chief insights Officer, Darren Tristano, in a talk with CNBC, expressed that “You have this whole group of consumers who believe gluten isn’t good for you. Many are younger consumers and if you’re not speaking their language, you risk losing them.”
The rampant circulation of unhealthy foods has been a major problem, especially for those who have little or no time to prepare a healthy breakfast, due to their busy daily work schedule. These meal additions will certainly reduce ailment suffered by people, due to the consumption of unhealthy meals.
However, Starbucks customers that rather go for meals that are animal products free, that now enjoy Starbucks’ ‘sprouted grain bagel,’ which is also one of fast-food restaurant’s new addition to the vegan bagel variety.
Following the circulation of the amazing news, Tristano expressed by garb the new additions will build customer trust and respect for the Starbucks brand, as he further stated that
“I don’t see that this will have a dramatic impact on [Starbucks] sales but will help more with retention of customers… so they respect your brand.”
Moreover, gluten-free food market is said to grow at an annual rate of 12% through 2021, following the reports of the global research group Technavio. Hence America has continued to have the largest market share through 2016, and will still lead the market for years to come.
The group stated in a report that “The U.S. region offers numerous growth opportunities for players involved in the gluten-free food business.”
