Recent reports showed that Global Mobility Products Inc. (GMP), has been acquired by another company. The company that made the acquisition was Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM).
GMP has been a leader in asset recovery, reverse logistics and repairing services for the Canadian mobile industry. This company is extremely superior when it comes to end to end services, both forward and reverse logistics, as well as a number of tools for mobile Lifecycle based services in the Canadian market.
Access to large customer base
IM will get access to an extremely large customer base. GMP which was founded in the year 1995 is based out of Burlington in Ontario. It has around 150 employees and has established a market presence in every single province. Post the sale; it will become a subsidiary of IM.
As stated earlier, the company has a number of tools aimed at the mobile sector. However, it has also purchased a state of the art mobile repairing facility covering 46000 square feet. It also has 3000 retail locations spread throughout the country.
