Institutional Investors Increase Their Stakes In Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO)

Thompson Siegel & Walmsley LLC has increased its stake in Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) by purchasing an extra 44,528 shares managing to raise its position by 7.1%. This is according to a disclosure that was made to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Previously, the fund’s stake in Cisco consisted of 674,549 shares. At the close of the previous quarter, the fund’s shareholding in Cisco was worth slightly over $20 million.

Joining Thompson Siegel & Walmsley LLC in acquiring additional shares of the networking gear giant includes Dubuque Bank & Trust Co which increased its stockholding by approximately 44.6% in quarter three. Having bought an extra 105,162 shares, the total Cisco stock that Dubuque now holds is 340,949 shares and it is worth approximately $10.8 million. There was also Franklin Street Advisors Inc. NC which purchased an extra 10,602 shares of Cisco Systems to bring its total stake to 359,679 shares which were approximately $11.4 million.

Iberiabank Corp too

Another institutional investor that added its shareholding in Cisco Systems is IBERIABANK Corp (NASDAQ:IBKC). The institutional investor raised its stake in the network equipment firm by 13.1% in the fourth quarter. Previously, Iberiabank possessed a little over 187,000 shares and this has been boosted by an extra 21,713 shares. Among Iberiabank’s assets, Cisco Systems comprises about 2.1% of the portfolio which makes the stock the 9th biggest position it holds. The most recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission show that the value of this portfolio was approximately $5.6 million.

Yet another institutional investor that has purchased more shares in Cisco Systems includes Empirical Finance LLC. In the fourth quarter the firm purchased a little over 37,000 shares of Cisco Systems and this was equivalent to a little over $1.1 million. This is the 28th biggest position of the institutional investor and it makes up about 0.8% of the portfolio.
