Kandi Technologies Group Inc (NASDAQ:KNDI) reported that Kandi Electric Vehicles Group Co, Ltd. and Hangzhou Vocational and Technical College held a signing event at which they finalized a strategic deal to jointly set the Kandi Renewable Energy and the Renewable Energy Automotive Institution Vehicle Collaborative Innovation facility. The objective of the deal is to institutionalize renewable energy research and to advance an outreach strategy to endorse the renewable energy vehicle industry.
The details
The Chinese government, with the prevailing international awareness about renewable energy vehicles in mind, has listed the advancement of the Chinese renewable energy automotive segment as a primary national strategic goal. However, so far there has not been a specialized institution particularly focused on training staff for the renewable energy automotive market, which, unlike the conventional automotive industry, is witnessing rapid growth and a shortage of specialized and skilled technicians.
The establishment of new automotive institution is an outcome of a positive combination of Kandi’s extensive involvement with the renewable energy automotive segment, electric vehicle sharing, and advanced know-how, with Hangzhou V&T College’s educational training programs intended to promote students’ careers. The two entities have jointly introduced the new setup to further advance renewable energy vehicle know-hows and automotive networking application R&D, and operations.
Hu Xiaoming, the Chairman of the JV Company, expressed that as an industry pioneer in the niche segment of renewable energy vehicles, he considers that China’s auto market is already one of the most notable in the world, but in attempt to grow to become the largest and to lead international sales, the path to success remains in the renewable energy vehicle segment.
In the coming period, most transportation is anticipated to be car-sharing, while renewable energy vehicles segment will depend on intelligent design that uses internet connectivity, autonomous driving and the Internet of Things. The objective for designers of renewable energy vehicles should be to advance all-around and truly convenient intelligent transportation options.
