Dallas, Texas 03/25/2014 (FINANCIALSTRENDS) –  Recently, Silvercorp Metals Inc (NYSE:SVM) reported results of the company’s 2013 underground diamond drilling-program at its LM & LMW mines, in the Ying Mining District, in Henan Province, China. These indicate a significant-extension of its existing high- grade mineralization zones that are down dip & along the strike, and delineating the new mineralization zones in the known major vein-structures. The LM & LMW mines are 2 of the 6 silver-lead zinc-mines that Silvercorp Metals Inc (NYSE:SVM) operates within the Ying Silver camp. Its LMW mine is situated adjacent to west of its LM mine.

The company’s 2013 Drill Program was very successful in the expansion of the Indicated & the Measured Resources as well as in delineating the new resources at, or even above, the current mining-elevations that are close to all the available mining-facilities that are within the major production -veins. Step-out & infill-drilling on the known mineralization zones & test-drilling on the unexplored sections was all conducted on these major vein-structures LM5 & LM6 at its LM mine & LM7, LM8, LM11 & LM12, the LM13, the LM16, and the LM17 veins at its LMW mine. The diamond drilling-program was implemented from the underground tunnels to test for mineralized structures that are between the 400m & 950m elevations.

Most of these underground holes were all designed as inclined-holes to penetrate the multiple- vein structures. The results of the 2013 Drill Program have further extended its known high- grade-mineralization zones which down dip & along strike as well as the new delineated mineralization zones within in the previously-unexplored sections of the other major vein structures. In 2013, the total of 56,151 meters had been drilled in the 238 holes, which included 17,629 m in the 82 holes at LM & 38,522 m in the 156 holes at LMW. 6,512 core- samples had been collected from the altered and the mineralized vein-structures with 9 underground drill rigs.
