Dallas, Texas 04/11/2014 (FINANCIALSTRENDS) –  Micron Technology, Inc.(NASDAQ:MU) is expected to see drop in sales of shipment of PC. In industry research reports, leading research firms, IDC as well as Gartner, have reported that the in the past quarter the sale of PC have indeed dropped drastically.  The fall is to the tune of 73.4million. However, there has been a trace of internal confusion with IDC and Gartner reporting differently. Gartner forecasts that the drop is shipments are in the range of 1.7% at about 76.6 million.

Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) will remain affected by the overall PC hardware sales, as it is one of the leading manufacturer of semiconductor devices as well as Memory cards, such as DRAM and NOR Flash.

Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) has announced on April 10, 2014 through its foundation that it will offer a professorship in microelectronics in the College of Engineering, University of Idaho. This will further increase its position in the Microelectronics education and research sections.
