Android mobile users will now gain access to PowerPoint, Word and Excel. The software and Internet giant made the move to bring the services to users who do not use the Windows OS. The company claims that the new applications introduced this week are mainly designed for small screens. Microsoft had introduced versions of the same office utilities for iPhones, iPads, and Android tablets.

Additionally some of the features that users would expect might not be available in most cases. Microsoft’s plan is to address most of these issues while at the same time providing applications that can easily adapt to the latest Android operating systems such as KitKat and Lollipop.
Tablets that run on the Windows OS also lack well-adjusted office applications. Most of them use the ‘bare-bones’ office. However, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) promised that the new Windows 10 operating system will offer more comprehensive features. The new mobile app features will be free on Google Play. However, users can get access to Office 365 for an annual $70 subscription. Some mobile phone manufacturing companies like Samsung and Sony will ship their devices with preinstalled versions of the apps.
