And hence, in a sort of moving in an expected rate, Microsoft Corporation has lowered the price of the product, ‘Surface Pro tablet’ in US. Per the reports from the Telegraph, the price of this product model was decreased by $ 100 which comes to around £ 60. The statement regarding this discounted price from Microsoft Corporation was that the company is being proud to offer the Surface Pro tablet at the affordable prices as the company is experiencing the global success with both the Surface RT pricing as well as the promotions of keyboard cover. It is posted in the Website of Microsoft Corporation, that this discounted price would be available to the customers until 29th of August. It can be seen that Microsoft Corporation has slashed down the prices of the tablet in the countries like Canada, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong also. At present, this offer prices for the tablet is not available at UK.

During the month of July, the company has lowered the costs of ARM based Surface RT tablets by about 30%. At present, this model tablet is available at the Microsoft surface stores price of £ 279 which has been decreased from £ 399. This offer price is also applicable with some of the key retailers like John Lewis.

The money from the sales of surface tablets by Microsoft Corporation is less when compared to the money that has been spent by the company. For the last year’s ending (ended by June 30th), the revenues generated by the company’s surface tablets were $ 853 million. However, the company would write off $ 900 million over the surface tablets per the statement from Steve Ballmer, CEO during the quarterly earnings call at the recent times.
