Dallas, Texas 11/20/2013 (Financialstrend) – Mondelez International Inc (NASDAQ:MDLZ) announced its plans to invest more than $100M in the most advanced biscuit-manufacturing plant at the company’s Opava site situated in the Czech Republic. This new investment will now create 200 new jobs making Oreo cookies & belVita breakfast biscuits. Since the year 2009, net-revenues for Oreo & belVita have risen by 25 % and 18 % respectively in Europe. This new plant will create added capacity to permit the business to be in line with future demand.

He said that they have used all their supply chain & R&D expertise to create this state-of-the-art factory that has lines that are capable of making more than a million Oreo biscuits / day. Once it is completed, the plant will be the model in the company’s international supply-chain network.”
