Procter & Gamble Co (NYSE:PG) and Shopee reported record sales from their first-ever experiential online initiative, Show Me My Home. PG is a leading supplier of fast-moving consumer goods, while Shopee is one of the major e-commerce players in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. The two companies reported more than 15X jump in sales. PG and Shoppe are counting this initiative to activate the recently signed commitment to streamline and improve the shopping experience for their users.
The initiative aims to offer an engaging and convenient shopping experience
According to the terms of partnership, P&G will offer shopper insights and innovations in the region a fun, engaging, and convenient shopping experience. The initiative is the first of its kind and will have a one-stop-shop listing P&G products. The online shopping initiative will be accessible via a dedicated P&G microsite on Shopee’s platform. The platform will also be available to shoppers in key SEA markets like the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Shoppe CEO, Chris Feng said the COVID-19 pandemic has seen e-commerce occupy greater importance in people’s lives as many consumers increasingly turn online to shop for their everyday needs. With the growing importance of e-commerce, Feng advices businesses to stay agile and adapt to the changing landscape. The success of the Show Me My Home initiative is testament to the growing importance of e-commerce. According to Feng, the merger of P&G’s retail expertise and its huge portfolio of leading FMCG brands with Shopee’s insights on online shoppers’ behavior and preferences allowed the two companies to deliver a novel home shopping experience. The success will inspire the two companies venture into innovation to offer the best to consumers.
