Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ:SGMS) has entered a deal with West Virginia Lottery for supply of Connexus monitoring system. This will help in management of over 14,000 gaming machines across West Virginia in five casinos and over 1,350 licensed Video Lottery sites. Connexus comes as a replacement for the company’s AEGIS system. The security events, financial meters and certified software on gaming machines are all going to be controlled by the new system.
West Virginia Lottery’s Acting Director John Myers said that Connexus was selected after a comprehensive procurement procedure and it will help them keep a tab on the licensed gaming locations and casinos. He was confident that this system would help in meeting the requirements of the stakeholders.
According to Scientific Games Corporation’s President & CEO Gavin Isaacs, maintaining the security and integrity of the gaming centers of West Virginia was the top priority of West Virginia Lottery. The main reason that Connexus was chosen by them was because of the high level monitoring facilities that the system provided in a cost-effective way.
Company To Have New CFO
Meanwhile, the company’s EVP, CFO and Corporate Secretary Scott D. Schweinfurth announced his retirement plans earlier this month. He would be working in the firm till the financial year 2015 end and shall retire once his successor is appointed. For filling the position of CFO, Egon Zehnder has been retained by Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ:SGMS).
Thanking Scott D. Schweinfurth for his over 20 years career with the company, Isaac said that he wished the very best for his friend who has been a momentous part of the success story of Scientific Games.
Michael Quartieri Joins Scientic Games Corporation
Former Chief Accounting Officer and Global Controller, Las Vegas Sands Corp. Michael Quartieri has also been hired as the Vice President and Corporate Controller. Isaac said that he was positive that getting Quartieri on board would be a beneficial move for the company for future growth.
