The year-end lists are formed on basis of regular feedback from company’s community of over 29 million subscribers across the U.S. and reflects commitment to music discovery.
The highlights
Sirius XMHoldings disclosed the list of its Year in Music. As per the list, the artists of the year group includes Adele, Calvin Harris, The Weeknd, Eric Church and Taylor Swift. The songs of the year list includes five songs, “Hello” of Adele, “Ex’s and Oh’s” of Elle King, “Classic Man” of Jidenna, “Cheerleader” of Omi and “Shut Up and Dance” from Walk the Moon.
Sirius XM list of breakthrough artists of 2015 includes Elle King, Jidenna, Kygo, Old Dominion and Nathaniel Rateliff &The Night Sweats. The three welcome back artists are Garth Brooks, Janet Jackson and Giorgio Moroder. Then comes the list of breakthrough artists of 2015 that no one ever heard of and includes Glass Animals, Robin Schulz, Nothing More and Saint Motel. The last list is of artists to watch next year and includes Daya, Declan McKenna, Tory Lanez, Maren Morris and Nothing But Thieves.
