Dallas is the new arena for this season’s games and the top teams will scramble for the $200,000 prize pool. This will be in the Call of Duty® World League that will be presented by the one and only-PlayStation®4 (CWL) in 2017.The Call of Duty® World League has teams from different localities under its umbrella. Sony Corp (Adr) (Nyse:Sne) has been doing much lately to boost its overall production as well as win a large portion of the market share.
This includes teams from Europe and North America. This particular time will have a little shift from the norm since pool play will have squads from Asia-Pacific region (APAC). Major League Gaming Corp is expected to host the CWL Dallas Open March 17-19 and this will be at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, TX.
The competition kick starts today and is expected to feature more than 130 teams from around the globe. According to some reliable sources, it is expected that the four leading teams from the open winners’ bracket will move ahead to join the pool play tomorrow, whereas final teams will be waiting to compete on Sunday and that will particularly be on the championships.
The Dallas competition will be the marking of the final Call of Duty Event. The hopeful teams will harness the opportunity to try and earn the CWL Pro Points which are required in order to move to Stage 1 of the CWL Global Pro League. On April, Stage 1 competition will kick start giving the opportunity for about 16 teams globally to compete.
It will particularly be on date 20 and will be held at the MLG Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The objective of each team will be to get a share in the $1.4 million CWL Global Pro League prize pool. As a matter of fact will be a small percentage from the overall $4 million prize pool for the 2017 CWL season.
The plans underway are that any of those teams that will fail to qualify for Stage 1 won’t just be dismissed anyhow. Such teams will earn CWL Pro Points online via CWL ladders as well as tournaments. That will of course be through the LAN events where they will be able to compete in Stage 2 which will be held later at a later stage in the year.
