One of the trusted chipmakers, NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) recently made a statement confirming that in all the PC’s sold out last year, only 1% of them were VR enabled. There is one company that has caused quite a stir worldwide through the great sales kit has made lately. That is of course Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) whose play station VR headset released about four moths back has been able to fetch up to 915,000 units in sales.
Sony’s global chief executive of Sony Interactive Entertainment lately made a statement revealing that their products were on high demand and they discovered that after realizing how much people would line up outside provisions stores waiting to make purchase of the company’s high end products.
Some earlier sales estimates were that in a period of six months the company would manage to make an initial estimate of about 1 million sales .From the recent progress, the company is optimistic and surely as well that it will surpass that milestone. The sales being made are higher than it would have expected or imagined and this is good news for the company.
Some people might be caught up in a wild rush of wanting to make conclusions, but it is not yet time. Sony is not the only one happy about the market’s welcoming of the VR devices. The boon seems to have lifted hopes and expectations for the rest of the market as well and it of course goes without saying that the stock markets might be experiencing a major shift in a short while to come.
However, one thing is for sure, it is in order to set high expectations. But it is also of paramount importance to keep ourselves prepared since the path towards success for any businesses cannot remain unmarred by challenges! From time to time challenges may show up.
