Sprint Corp (NYSE:S) and PANTAYA reported that they are associating to reach millions of new followers across their mobile devices. This deal makes Sprint as the first carrier to associate with PANTAYA and is providing an exclusive 45-day trial to consumers who visit sprint.com/pantaya.

The details

PANTAYA, an association between international content leader Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (USA)(NYSE:LGF) and media firm Hemisphere Media Group Inc (NASDAQ:HMTV), showcases the most varied and largest selection of Spanish-language films a single platform. The service encompasses critically acclaimed films and blockbusters from Hollywood and Latin America; first-run and exclusive access to Spanish-language releases from Pantelion Films; and a selection of movies that will be offered for streaming the same day they are released in Latin America, a U.S. first.

Celebrity ambassadors Omar Chaparro and Maite Perroni and PANTAYA will co-host a release event tonight in Hollywood showcasing global superstar Prince Royce as a musical invitee and a charity auction.

Proceeds from this auction will benefit the project, an initiative that intends to close the digital divide and assist close the homework gap for low-income high school students who don’t have internet access at house to communicate with their schools, apply for scholarships and complete assignments.

Together, PANTAYA and Sprint are funds money for the project through a web auction that started this week and will be live through October 24. Items offered at the charity auction will include star-studded film premieres, meet-and-greets and unique VIP experiences.

Alberto Lorente, the VP of Multicultural Marketing at Sprint, expressed that they are delighted to become the preliminary carrier to associate with PANTAYA and to offer their consumers unmatched access to Spanish-language films to stream on their terms. Sprint has witnessed a notable growth among its Hispanic consumers streaming content on their devices. Their association with PANTAYA is one of Sprint’s numerous dedicated initiatives to bring their consumers closer to their passions and assists further their objective of working to meet their needs and wants.
