STMicroelectronics NV (ADR) (NYSE:STM), a world semiconductor leader in electronics applications is expanding its eDesignSuite Online Design Environment by incorporating Smart Transformer Selector features of Wurth Elektronik, a major transformer manufacturer.
This will supply consumers with new product designs with chips that make them complete their projects faster and cost-effectively. The move will help the company to solve its common problems by ordering custom parts, thereby saving material costs and turnaround time.
The newly linked eDesignSuite to web-based Smart Transformer of Wurth Elektronik will enable ST to power-supply designers that automatically select a suitable off-the-shelf transformer while still working in its eDesignSuite environment.
ST’s eDesignSuite can assist to hasten the design of many circuits and systems such as Switched-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), LED lighting, filters, motor drives, among others. The company is committed to endlessly enhance the available tools and equipments to make their system designs easier and faster for their consumers.
