The mobile device industry is one of the most competitive markets in the world but the UK market has been rather dormant when it comes to its own brand devices. The Vodafone Smart 6 is the device that is expected to shatter that silence.
Phone is a first out of a long line of devices that host a mobile carrier’s name but have been developed by third party manufacturers. The Smart Ultra 6 was made by a Chinese Manufacturer called ZTE CORPORATION (OTCMKTS:ZTCOF) and they were quite serious about their job. At first glance, the design is not so catchy and can only be described as regular. However, some intrinsic features are worth noticing.
The phone’s specs are good enough to place it on top of the competition for midrange devices. The device takes its design cues from the iPhone 6 plus and Apple’s Tablet. The back cover is non-removable, but it is plastic. Aside from that, it is a solid device that is functional and offers exceptional performance. In terms of structure, it seems to be fine. The phone has its volume rockers and the micro SIM card tray.
The back of the phone features a 13 megapixel camera with a single LED flash next to it on the left side. The primary camera supports Full HD 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second with autofocus. The secondary camera features a 5mp camera that can also record in High Definition.
The mobile device has a 5.5 inch Full HD 1080p screen at 401 PPI (Pixel per inch) and features lively colours. Though the glass is not as tough as tough as Gorilla glass 3, it can still withstand normal daily usage. The device has a slim, slightly-protruding bezel surrounding the screen. It is a bit difficult to use in one hand because of its size. It is 77mm wide and 154mm long. It is also quite slim with a 9mm thickness. The phone will be priced at £125b or £17 on a contract with Vodafone Group Plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:VOD).
