Dallas, Texas 11/15/2013 (Financialstrend) – Quick-service restaurant operator The Wendy’s Co (NASDAQ:WEN) has recently announced that its independent purchasing cooperative for restaurants which is known as Quality Supply Chain Co-op, Inc.SM (QSCC), has awarded its top eleven suppliers along with distributors in its 2013 Wendy’s Convention, held at Las Vegas
The event’s top honorable award, Golden Link Award in the field of Supply Chain Excellence is been given to supplier and distributor partners. The achievers for the awards were chosen from a long list of 400 nominations of supplier and distributor partners that assists company’s operations in the Northern America.
John Inwright, President of QSCC commented on the event, “Each of these Golden Link Award winners consistently demonstrates outstanding dedication, innovation, commitment, and service to QSCC and the Wendy’s system. These partners are truly in a class above the rest, and they always look for new ways to add value for our members.”
The Ohio-based cooperative has declared eleven winners for the Golden Link Award for Supply Chain Excellence. First of the achievers was famous beverage group The Coca Cola Co which has been a strategic partner to the restaurant operator’s system for over two decades. The beverage giant compliments Wendy’s beverage strategy by offering superior products, equipment and service
Also Darifair Foods has been awarded the same and it has been a part major support the company for 25 years in supplying sour cream, coffee creamers, and compound butters. Highland Baking Company that has been providing bakery products since last year beginning also received the award.
Additionally, other winners are Maines Paper & Food Service, Marzetti for supplying salad dressings and sandwich sauces while Phillips Gourmet has offered sautéed mushrooms which were used by the company limited edition, Bacon Portabella Melt. Followed by InterMetro Industries, RS Hanline Company, Schneider Electric Professional Services, Tyson Foods Poultry Division and Willow Run Foods.
