Travelport Worldwide Ltd (NYSE:TVPT) and Priceline.com have decided to continue its 20-year old legacy of sharing the booking and ticketing technology. Recently the leading Travel Commerce Platform re-signed a long-term agreement with Priceline.com indicating that Travelport will continue its service of offering booking, pricing, and ticketing technology and content to Priceline.
Approximately two decades ago, the two companies signed on dotted lines agreeing to the fact that the GDS from Travelport will continue to process the reservations for Priceline. The association and arrangement have benefitted both the companies over the years business-wise simultaneously making it easier for the customers to buy and sell travel. It ultimately encouraged the customers to try out better and greater travel deals with these companies.
