Barstool Sports and Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) are teaming up to introduce a new 24/7 channel on latter firm, commencing in January, 2018. The Barstool Radio on Sirius platform will air countrywide on satellite radios as well as on the Sirius XM app, and will exhibit the site’s funny, unfiltered and irreverent approach to covering sports, popular culture, men’s lifestyle and more. Last December, Barstool and SiriusXM teamed up to introduce a daily show, Barstool Radio on Sirius XM, hosted by Portnoy, Kevin “KFC” Clancy and other Barstool personalities. The new daily show on the SiriusXM and Barstool Radio channel will showcase Barstool Radio, a rotation of current Barstool podcasts and fresh, original shows. Additional information on that programming will be reported at a later date.
Barstool showcases an extremely compelling and unique voice in prevailing media landscape and Sirius XM’s uncensored national platform is an ideal course for that voice to interact and reach live with fans across the nation. The daily Barstool Radio program that launched a year earlier has been well received and the new channel will offer Barstool’s brand of entertainment to Sirius XM listeners on a larger scale 365 days a year.
