Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN), the company which has pumped over $17 billion into local communities, reported the release of Discover the Best of Beverly – a community-wide company promotion intended to cherish the small businesses of Beverly Hills and Morgan Park.
In association with the MPBHBA, Discover the Best of Beverly showcases some of the diverse and historic neighborhood’s top local merchants ranging from savoring eats to ways to feel and look your best this fall. Beverly marks as the fifth neighborhood to partake in Groupon’s “Discover Downtown” series that assists entice Chicagoans to discover their city.
Every great neighborhood is highlighted by the people and local businesses. Aaron Cooper, the President of North America, Groupon, expressed that they are delighted to offer a platform for the two distinct groups to connect, especially when it comes to helping support greater economic growth in their home community.
With the help of the Discover the Best of Beverly, Groupon is offering residents the ability to donate $10 to the Beverly Art Walk 2017 scheduled for October 7. Each donation will be used for funding live music, home studio tours, artist demonstrations and the creation of permanent public art exhibits for community beautification initiatives.
Caroline Connors, executive director, Morgan Park Beverly Hills Business Association, expressed that they are thrilled to associate with Groupon to bring increased recognition and awareness to local businesses in their community and boost more Chicagoans to come check them out. Moreover, the support this campaign offers to their area’s local arts measures will lead to the long-term vibrancy of the area and help get permanent economic development.
Groupon is also offering an impact grant of $5,000 to the MPBHBA to support community events showcasing local art and music. Bronzeville, Lincoln Park, Edgewater and the Uptown neighborhoods have participated in company’s Discover Downtown series.
