Jordan Brand and Foot Locker Inc (NYSE:FL) reported the digital release of their joint holiday campaign showcasing NBA star Kawhi Leonard, with roles by Leonard’s rapper Nipsey Hussle and teammate LaMarcus Aldridge. The spot, called “Bold Like Kawhi” comedically showcases Leonard’s unanticipated day in his latest Air Jordan I OG High Gatorade sneakers.

The details

The spot begins with Leonard in a locker room, undoing a holiday present from Aldridge. Inside the present box he sees an orange flavor way pair of Gatorade AJ Is. Leonard goes on to experience a remarkably crazy day in his new shoes. He drives a low-rider, does karate, parties at a nightclub, hits a recording studio and chronicles for the full day on social media.

When questioned by a journalist about his day, Leonard expressed with a sly grin that he was hacked. He had a ton of fun associating with Jordan Brand and Foot Locker to show off another side of his personality that most admirers don’t get to witness every day. He feels really special to being a part of this holiday campaign that pays respect to the novel ‘Be Like Mike’ Gatorade ad.

The campaign showcases a premium collection of the Air Jordan Gatorade offerings, available at selected company stores nationwide and also on Foot Locker online platform. Patrick Walsh, the VP of Marketing at Foot Locker North America, expressed that they were excited to associate with Kawhi Leonard for their Jordan holiday campaign. They all understand Kawhi is bold on the court, however highlighting his confidence and style in the latest Air Jordan Gatorade Collection is one of ways to help customers make bold sneaker purchases this holiday season.

In the last trading session, the stock price of Foot Locker gained 0.61% to close the day at $46.28. The gains came at a share volume of 3.49 million compared to average share volume of 4.46 million.
