Dallas, Texas 05/22/2014 (FINANCIALSTRENDS) – Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (ADR)(NYSE:YGE) recently announced to have initiated trial production of N-MWT (N-type Metal Wrap Through) technology based mono-crystalline silicon modules. The company mentioned that the production has been supported by equipment provided by a leading supplier of automated manufacturing lines and photovoltaic technology, Formula E. The equipment designed by Formula E will support back contact applications in the production of N-MWT based silicon modules.
Formula E designed and produced a set of innovative manufacturing equipment as part of its strategic collaboration agreement with Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:YGE). The company announced to have installed the equipment at one of its module workshops and has begun the production trials for the same.
About N-MWT Technology:
The highly innovative, The N-MWT technology allows to improve cell efficiency as it reduces the amount of metal applied to each solar cell and also reduces power loss during the module encapsulation process. The technology allows more exposure of solar cell surface area to sunlight as compared to traditional mono-crystalline modules.
